Properly dealing with and using polyurethane with get you some very nice results
1. don't shake - shaking causes bubbles and that could be an issue, unless you like to have a bumpy surface when the poly dries
2. Don't use a foam brush for poly - you don't want to do this because the blunt sides leave two parallel ridges of finish kind of like a snow plow on a highway. the foam also contains air which could leave bubbles
3. take your time - not taking your time can lead to problems. the application can be a bit difficult at times but patience is worth it !!
